All pupils at RGS have the chance to take part in Athletics as well as Cricket. We compete in weekly fixtures during the summer term and host schools at our own Athletics track at St. Oswald's as well as taking advantage of the tartan track at Nunnery Wood Sports Centre for our bigger home fixtures.

Years Seven and Eight have a double lesson of Athletics each week in the Summer term as well as their training nights after school. From Years Nine to Upper Sixth pupils can opt to take part in either Cricket or Athletics in their games afternoon.

Anyone interested in Athletics is welcome to come along to the Athletics Clubs held on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday after school at St. Oswald's where we have plenty of coaches to help teach and develop skills and techniques taught in lessons.

Athletics at RGS has grown from strength to strength over recent years and we are producing athletes that are competing on the national stage.
