Education & Business Development Team

The ARM group consists of staff working in the three areas of Admissions, Registrar and Marketing within the three RGS schools.  The three areas of work combine to comprise a recruitment team for pupils across all three schools.

The ARM Group reports back to the School’s Strategic Team, which consists of the four Heads, the Bursar and the Head of Marketing. It also acts upon specific tactics passed down from this strategic think-tank.

Cathy Bates – Registrar

The Registrar is the main point of contact for parents from initial enquiry until the child starts at RGS.  This relationship continues in the early days of School life, ensuring a smooth transition for all pupils.

We aim to make the admissions journey as smooth and straightforward as possible. Once pupils are registered, we offer taster days so that pupils may become more familiar with the School and if they have already accepted a place, they also have the opportunity to meet their new form teacher and classmates.

Sharon Dyer – Admissions and Marketing Manager

Sharon provides leadership to the marketing and production team for all four RGSW schools. She oversees the admissions and registry process including provision of paperwork, privacy statements, prospectus, giveaways and ensures the use of the database is compliant. She coordinates the efficient working of the marketing and production for RGSW and ensures all marketing collateral is relevant whilst researching new marketing methods. For example, ads for general reputation building as well as key events are selected by Sharon and space held to ensure maximum exposure for RGSW, within the allocated budget.

She ensures an effective and engaging website is maintained, that all material produced by the team is accurate and will investigate marketing trends before making recommendations to the Strategy Group for new initiatives. She reports regularly to all four Heads and Director of Finance and Operations as well as frequent Governors’ reports regarding pupil numbers and retention, and marketing measured activity. She meets directly with each Head regularly to ensure delivery is given and is being met as per their requirements for both marketing and admissions.

Sharon is a mum to three boys and in her spare time enjoys reading, cooking, gardening, socialising with her good friends, and enjoying an occasional glass of red wine!

Su Savage – Marketing Officer including Graphic Design

Su designs and produces all marketing collateral including brochures, leaflets, flyers, information booklets, adverts, posters. She also creates templates for staff to ensure the brand is adhered to. She manages an up to date photograph library for RGS Worcester, adding new photos on a regular basis.

Su produces video and films in line with marketing requirements, in particular for Open Mornings, transition events and other key academic-led events. Su takes high-quality photographs of school events and activities as directed and works with external photographers to obtain key marketing photos for promotional use. She assists with updating website content including photographs and ensures any publication or video is placed on the web.

Su is mum to a son and daughter. She has her own cake business with her mum and will think nothing of decorating cakes late into the evening following a day at RGS. She supports her daughter with her drama and dance is a regular taxi service for her!

Kim Taylor – Marketing and Schools Outreach Officer

Kim’s remit is to extend the outreach programme within the four schools, liaising with primary, first and middle schools and organising for staff/students to visit RGS or for RGS to go to them
and is responsible for ensuring an agreed co-ordinated outreach programme is devised and delivered.

This is done by extending the portfolio of activities/resources that can be offered to liaison schools including Open Morning invitations and she develops relationships with feeder schools and targets. prospective feeder schools and nurseries,
as well as toddler groups and organisations such as NCT and Netmums. Kim markets key school events to local schools and invite senior staff to plays, concerts, sports
fixtures etc. She also assists in planning and coordination of events for both internal and external pupils with the transition
