Always Allowed
Once you have set ‘Downtime‘ you can then configure the apps that you would like to remain enabled during the time period that you configured.
Step 1:
Tap Settings – Screen Time – Always Allowed

Step 2:
By default, Messages, FaceTime and Maps are automatically enabled for safety reasons but can be removed if required.
Select the apps you wish to remain accessible during the downtime by tapping the + Symbol next to each app.

Step 3:
Once the Downtime period begins, all apps that have not been allowed will appear appear with the egg timer symbol as shown below.

If you attempt to open a disabled app, the message below will be displayed.

If ‘Ask For More Time’ this can be temporarily overidden by entering the Parent Passcode. Do not let your children know this passcode!

You can then choose how long much longer you wish to approve access for.
